Eric Norman will represent our interests, not Austin’s political elites.

Meet Eric Norman

Eric Norman will fight for the hardworking people of Guadalupe and Gonzales Counties.

An Eagle Scout and graduate of the University of North Texas, Eric Norman worked across the great state of Texas - until he found his forever home in Seguin and a new calling as a craftsman working with his hands. As an independent shoemaker, Eric understands the importance of heritage, tradition, and the power of small business to our way of life.

When he's not working, Eric advocates for the economic prosperity and health of the community as a board member and active volunteer for organizations such as the Christian Cupboard, Community Cycles Seguin, and the Downtown Business Alliance, among others. He brings financial leadership, fundraising acumen, and tireless advocacy to these and other organizations.

Most importantly, Eric believes the concentration of power in Austin is out of control, and that it's vital to send an independent thinker to Austin who will reflect the interests of, and speak up for, the people of District 44.

what ARE Eric’s Priorities?

Keeping our community strong for years to come

Affordability

Everything is going up - rent, daycare, car insurance, gas, ground beef. We can’t afford to keep electing people who don’t know, or care, about the realities of working families, or seniors living on a fixed income. Eric’s ready to go to the capitol to do the right thing: making sure consumers aren’t getting ripped off, fighting for better pay, increasing competition by supporting small businesses, and investing our tax dollars in services like public transit that can help families get their bills under control.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Corruption happens when leaders stop representing their communities and start looking out for themselves. Since 2019, Eric’s developed relationships with people from all walks of life; retirees, mayors, fellow small-business owners, teachers, ranchers, and people living off disability income. He’s invested and involved in the success of our community, and he’s running on a campaign of statesmanship - political leadership with the courage, judgment, and long-term vision to serve all his neighbors. Eric’s interested in solving problems, not wasting time playing political games.

Fighting ai data centers

Encouraged by the governor and state tax breaks, data centers are forcing their way into Texas at an alarming speed. They promise tax revenues for schools and high paying jobs, but we’re seeing the price communities pay - higher water and power bills, noise, light, and air pollution, and the consumption of massive amounts of water and power. Eric’s spoken out against data centers because they’ll do long-term damage to our community, and he opposes giving them tax breaks to come here. He’s ready to take that fight to Austin and demand that we have more say in local development decisions, especially when they threaten our air, water, land, and communities.
